OEG has been in the electrical construction industry since 1947.

Over the last 60 years, Oregon Electric Group has become one of the largest electrical contracting companies in the Northwest, with annual revenues reaching over $96 Million. OEG specializes in Commercial, Health Care, High Tech, Industrial, and Institutional markets, as well as providing in-house Design Build and Energy Conservation services.

OEG expanded into the systems arena with Integrated Systems Group in 1998. Through ISG, Oregon Electric provides services in: Fire & Life Safety Services, Security and Audio Visual, Voice and Data, Systems Integration, Instrumentation and Controls, HVAC, and has a UL 508 Packaged Controls manufacturing facility.

In September 2001, Oregon Electric Group was purchased by MDU Resources Group, Inc. The acquisition provided OEG with additional resources and financial strength, and a larger customer base as MDU is located throughout the United States.

Our Parent Company

MDU has been in business for over 80 years. In 1924, MDU began as an electric utility company incorporated under the name Minnesota Northern Power Company in Wausau, Wisconsin.

Since then, the company has grown to include many other businesses, including: Electric and Natural Gas Distribution, Utility Services, Pipeline and Energy Services, Natural Gas & Oil Production, and Construction Materials and Mining.

Today, MDU provides people throughout America with conveniences and necessities that make their lives better. MDU Resources designs, builds, maintains and operates facilities that are part of our country's modern infrastructure.

The company reflects a multi-dimensional enterprise, with regulated and non regulated businesses operating in different geographic locations and selling a broad spectrum of high-quality products and services.
